My Shnookums
I got a hamster! I still find it hard to believe that my mom would actually agree, but she did. It’s a male dwarf hamster, very tiny, and very cute. I was having trouble coming up with a name, but eventually me (and my friends) agreed on Timmy (named after this really cute guy I used to know…haha), but I prefer to call him shnookums. 
However, my dad is NOT pleased at all, as he thinks I’m irresponsible and I’ll probably make my mom do all the cleaning. He was willing to bet in 3 weeks time, I’ll lose interest in Timmy. Now that just pisses me off. What kind of parent thinks so negatively about their child? Yeah, I used to be like that, but how will you know I haven’t changed if you won’t give me the chance to prove it?
Remember that homework my Economics teacher gave during the Thanksgiving break? Well, I found out I got a D on it, and now I just loathe her even more. It’s bad enough she gave homework over the holidays, and a hard one too, but she actually graded it and gave a D? I think I’m going to add her to my blacklist some day.
Going shopping with Jin on Friday. Actually, not so much shopping for me as looking for a part-time job. That substitute teacher position at JRP is still in the air, so I think I’m going to check out positions at The Limited or Limited Too. Wish me luck!

I always read the replies to the comment. ^^;; I used to do that so I know that it’s really time consuming, but know that I completely appreciate it. If you don’t have time to do it though, I seriously don’t blame you. ^^;;

Oooohh!! I love hamsters!! But my parents won’t let me have one!! =’( But I’m sure you can prove to your dad that you’re capable of taking car of a cute little hamsterr hehehe. Yous hould post up pictures of your hamster ^.~
I hate teachers who give lots of homework for the holidays too >=( My teachers gave tons. They make me mad >=(

Soooo cute you got a hamster, I can understand your dads point of view….ALLLOOOOTTT of people do get pets but then it’s their parents who end up looking after them, if he isn’t a huge pet fan he’s probably just really annoyed at the idea he might have to become it’s carer.
Prove him wrong though and all is good

congrads on the pet! but youve gotta really keep it clean bc god those little things smell. my brother had a ferret and it would shake the cage if he didnt clean it lol ♥

My brother & sister-in-law were that way with my niece. They said she was irresponsible, but yet they would never give her any responsibility to see if she’d changed or not. bleh.

oh a hamster. i also want one, but only a stuffed toy. i can’t take care of pets. yes, i do love them but i hate responsibilities. and having one means an additional responsibility to me.
i know you’re not what you’re dad thinks. prove him that he’s not right, that your love for your hamster will not fade. haha! go on and prove him and get his bucks.. LOL

Hamsters are adorable. I don’t think I could stand having another mouse-type of pet though.
Your story reminded me of when I was 12 and I bought gerbils. My Dad told me the same thing, and I was so defiant and said I would do everything and it ended up that my Mom had to do everything.
I come back to read comment replies, but that’s probably only because I answer them on my site too. Heh.
I was wondering how many people actually come back to read comments when I answer them, too. I was thinking the number was around 1 to 0.

Congratulations on getting your new pet! I really can’t wait for you to you to prove your father wrong and show how responsible you really are. It gets really irritating when people make assumptions of what you’ll do, as if they no you so well. It’s really terrible that the economics teacher would be that harsh, it’s only right that she goes into your blacklist. good luck with the positions at the limited!
