Look of The Year
May 15, 2008 Blogging, Make Money, Stardom
In 2006, I attended IPOP New York and got discovered by my agency. It was a fun experience and living at the Marriot Marquis in Manhattan for free was absolute luxury. There is a similar event going on called Look of the Year. It’s a bit different from IPOP in that it focuses purely on modeling as opposed to acting/modeling/singing/dancing. So yes, it’s kind of like a beauty contest. All you need to do is submit your photos and you might get a chance to win $10,000 or land a contract with an agency. Are the chances big? I don’t know, but if you’ve always wanted to model, agencies are always looking for beautiful young girls to be a part of their roster. For more information, check out http://www.lookoftheyear.com
I signed up because I was curious and bored. Please vote for me! Thank you
A quick update on the site. I’ve added a Making Money Online section, which is just my old making money blog transfered over. I decided I didn’t like the idea of having an extra blog when I wasn’t even going to post that often. Speaking of which, I got paid a second time from Smorty, and from some private advertisers I wrote reviews for. If my calculations are correct, I will make $100+ by the end of this month simply by blogging. Will update with a more in depth entry soon.
P.S. My philosophy 140 exam was ass. This is the 4th time I’ve had to talk about euthanasia. Please don’t bring up the subject, because I might have to kill someone if I heard the topic again.

I’ve never heard of IPOP before, but it sounds interesting… more interesting than Look Of The Year in my opinion. I’ve always been more into competition where acting/singing/dancing is involved, not JUST modeling…
And by the way, I voted for you:D

To Hera: I’ve always been more interested in modeling, though most people tell me acting is my thing. Nonetheless, I feel like it doesn’t hurt to try. Thanks for voting for me, I appreciate it

To wrhona: Euthanasia is when the doctor, at the request of a dying patient, mercifully kills the patient to end his or her sufferings. I’ve explained it so many times I probably could have typed the definition blindfolded with my toes
In other words, it’s like when vets put dying animals to sleep, except it’s done on humans (though I guess you can refer to pets as well).

Can’t believe I’m commenting on this only now! I couldn’t even vote for you anymore! Ugh. Still, sounds like a great opportunity. And it seems to be the first step to the path to a glamorous life.
Would be such a blessing. Props to you for going after what you love to do best!
LOL on your reaction re: Philo 140 exam. I’m on a pro-Life position myself, so I would hate to answer in favor of the issue. Just glad it’s finally over and done with.

To Ai: It’s ok, I signed up for fun anyways, I really wasn’t expecting anything out of it. Oh and please don’t bring up Phil140 again xD I don’t even know how I managed to get a B+ in that class!
