I can finally drive
One of the greatest things that’s been bothering me lately has been my issues with getting my learner’s permit at the MVA. Forgive me God for saying this, but the people there have seriosly got sticks up their butts. Like what the hell is up with their attitude?! Man, I would have bitch slapped them with my purse the last 2 times had my mom not been there to stop me. And the people who answer your emails aren’t any better. They kept telling me to look at their website for more information, and then tell me things that contradict with their site. Like, wtf?
In the end, I just gave up on trying to find more primary sources and decided to wait for my ssn. However, without my permit, my mom refused to let me get into the driver’s seat. It wasn’t until I persuaded her let me just practice in the parking lot and the pastor said it was ok (she had to ask our pastor before letting me…lol). I have been praying for a while about this issue, and I guess this is God’s answer. In a way, it actually works. :33
We went to the parking lot at our church, and luckily, it was empty. At first I had a little trouble with the shift control, but it turned out that I didn’t step down completely on the brakes. Driving was scarier than I thought. The car actually moved without me stepping on the accelerator! I kept spazzing while trying to drive around the islands, and at first I turned to slowly and forgot to brake, so I drove onto the curb and almost hit the metal pole. It got better afterwards, but I still had trouble parking. Ah well, it is my first time, and for the first time, I think I did alright.
