College Apps

Gonna make a log of all my applications and stuff so I can keep track…
Stickied so I can easily keep track!!
- Howard University (DC)
OMG they have fashion merchandising! :DD And it’s in DC which is close AND its tuition is fairly cheap. But omg I don’t mean to be racists, but 92% African American? Wow.
PS: looked at their 2006 Homecoming…omg, it was too awesome. Yacht, dance, fashion show, *spazzes*
OMG dad doesn’t want me to go because of the high ratio of African Americans. o_o *spazzomgracistdad* - Philadelphia University (PA)
They have this huge thing on fashion and stuff. Fashion merchandising, fashion industry management, like omg, heaven on earth. lol And they called and offered me a $9000/year scholarship, which is pretty meager compared to their tuition of $23000 plus boarding and meals ($8000) But meh, we’ll see.

- University of Delaware (DE)
Rather nice school, has fashion merchandising, which gives it extra points. Oh and it’s close by. Closer than Georgia, which I was also considering before daddy said no. Anyways, it’d be fun to get out of states and go some place new, learn to be independent, and just have…fun. xD- REQUEST TRANSCRIPT - by december 1
- GET TEACHER RECS
- FILL OUT APPLICATION (+ honors college)
- SEND SAT SCORES
- College of William and Mary (VA)
This is going to be my reach school. Was supposed to be Georgetown, but 1) I missed the early action deadline for transcript request 2) 3 SATII tests? You’ve got to be kidding me. The only one I was going to take was Chinese, but when I tried registering, there were no available dates. wtf. So I’m applying to this school instead. It’s public, it’s pretty good, and it’s in Virginia. Totally awesome.- REQUEST TRANSCRIPT - january 1
- GET TEACHER RECS
- FILL OUT APPLICATION
- SEND SAT SCORES
- FILE FOR MIDYEAR REPORT
- University of Maryland, College Park (MD)
My #1 choice. 30 minute drive, cheap tuition, one of the top public universities, and they have marketing, which is pretty close to fashion merchandising (just on a broader range). Anyways, here’s my plan if I get in: major in marketing, get good grades, graduate, get into grad school with full tuition scholarship, get a master’s degree in fashion merchandising (or whatever they offer). Watch my plan fail.
- REQUEST TRANSCRIPT
- GET TEACHER RECS
- SUBMIT PART II
- University of Maryland, Baltimore County (MD)
I do not know why I’m applying here. It does not have the majors I want, it’s only good if you want to do med, but I hate med. I guess this is supposed to be my safety school, though I still have my doubts. AH.- REQUEST TRANSCRIPT
- GET TEACHER RECS
- SUBMIT PART II (+ honors college)
- ACCEPTED WITH FULL SCHOLARSHIP!

That’s a lot, lol. When I was applying for college I only applied to two universities. Lucky I got accepted in my target university.
Hmm. No offense, but that’s really racist of your dad to not allow you to go to that uni because of African Americans.
Anyway, good luck with college apps.

College applications made me SO stressed out. I still have to apply to one of the honors programs at a local college, where I will probably go two years, but I am so lazy. I definitely do not feel like writing a 500-1000 word essay based on a picture. Anyway, your college choices sound awesome! I applied to two colleges in TN and two in Ohio. So far I’ve gotten acceptance letters from the two in TN, and I need to send in my letter of recommendation to one of the Ohio schools! Good luck with getting in to your number 1 choice! I’m sure you will and hopefully you’ll get some awesome scholarships too!

Oh! I see some NICE colleges on that list. You seem so organized, good luck getting into your number 1! Do you have an account on http://www.collegeboard.com ? They have an organizer and stuff, its really useful, I signed up and it gives some great advice. Good luck!!!
November 15th, 2006 at 6:45 pm
Wow. I am so glad I have two more years before I have to start that stuff!! (unless they start when you’re a junior, then I’m screwed) I think I’m going to aim for Mass Bay or a New Hampshire college. Whatever I can find with Forensics and volleyball, I’m there. Good luck!

A list is always the best thing, and it helps to view what each college offers. Always go with your top choice and if that dosen’t work go with the second choice. I’m sure you will find a great college and I wish you the best on your journey. Keep us posted as to which college you will be attending.

A list is a good thing for everybody! It does help choose your choices and I wish you the best of luck on what college you want to go to.

[...] I’m also working on the long abandoned project with Saga, Jaime, and Tamisa . It’s a review site + mini community, and it’s all powered by wordpress. I’m still playing around with the features and figuring out how to hack it to best suit our needs, and so far I’ve been successful. We will open the site as soon as Jaime, Tamisa, and I finish with our college applications. [...]
