Back & In Need of Speech Topic

After half a year, I’ve finally found the passion to blog again. Not sure what I’ll write in this post, since so much has happened since I last posted, so I’ll list out some of the “major events” that’s happened since then:

• I pretty much failed my first semester at Maryland.
• I finally got over my ex and got together with my now current boyfriend (it took me 3 months to say yes).
• I’ve pretty much lost all my faith in Christianity.
• I feel like I need to find that passion for God back, but there’s no motivation.
• I despise the people at my former church for being hypocrites and judgmental, hence I refuse to ever see them again.
• I got a paid account at livejournal.
• I’m now motivated to post and comment regularly there.
• I got a webkinz duck and I try to play with it everyday. lol.
• I was a supporting cast in 2 episodes of One Life to Live.
• Because of this I got to see Mary J. Blige perform live.
• I just celebrated my 20th birthday a month ago.
• I’m going back to Taiwan in a month!
• I’m getting these annoying pimples on my forehead.

The last event sounds out of place. lol. But it’s true, and those pimples are annoying.

I need some ideas on what I should talk about for my persuasive speech. It’s not due till next, next Tuesday but I have to submit an audience analysis this Thursday, so either way, I’ll need to figure out a topic soon. It’s for my comm107 class (mostly freshmen with a couple sophomores). Here are the ideas I have so far, but I’m more than open to suggestions:

• Euthanasia
• Death Penalty
• Abortion
• Censorship (hate speech, pornography, etc)
• Drug control
• Animal rights
