Audrey’s baby!
I was very surprised when I went to church today and learned that Audrey was in labor. They told us that they baby wasn’t due until the 24th, and George had said he hoped it would come on the 21st, but wow, the 16th? But it’s all good, and though there were some complications, the delivery was successful (c-section), and Grace was born at 12:05pm. :D
The youth made some plans to go see Audrey and the baby after church, but Gwen and Eric were saying how they didn’t want to because Audrey might be tired and they didn’t want to bother her. I agreed with them, but in the end, I gave in and went. When they saw me go, they were like “…whatever, let’s go!”, and it was funny, because there was only one seat left in Andrew’s car, and John already left. So Eric was like, save a seat for me, but Gwen just opened the door and got in, and Eric stood there like “wtf?!”. So John had to drive back and take Eric.
So we get to the hospital, and we had to wait a while before we saw the baby, but oh my gosh, she was adorable! She was so small and cute, but we couldn’t really see her face the first time. It was hilarious when Isaac went to see her, because he didn’t know which one she was, so they were pointing in one direction, and Isaac looked, and he freaked out because that baby was black! He told us later that he thought something had gone wrong, and it was just priceless.
We also got to go see Audrey, and she looked really exhausted. She told us she had been in the hospital since 12am this morning. Wow…12 hours. Man, the stuff mothers had to go through to give birth…
